RINGs

LEGOLAND

My nephew, niece, mom, and I went to LEGOLAND in Carlsbad today. It was pretty fun even though the weather sucked! Kids enjoyed there a lot, so I'm glad. :) Well from tonight, I'm back to reality which is to study for new semester from tomorrow. Amazingly one of my professors has already assigned homework....

レゴランドにはびしょ濡れになれそうな乗り物がたくさんなので、
夏には持って来い!って感じ。でも今日はあいにくの曇り/雨。。。
とにかく、明日から気合入れて新学期頑張るぞー!

goodies

I love going to the restaurants or stores that are popular because I get inspirations and positive energy from them. My dream is to make our cafe as one of them. The place I went today was "Wahoo's fish taco"(http://www.wahoos.com/#) Though I don't like Mexican food much, it's a great opportunity to know why Americans love it. But I still couldn't get it. ha ha. If you know it, just tell me why...

Guess what! I made candles today because I didn't want to waste all the left overs from old candles. Don't they look cool?

This white one got rosemary in it :)
My brother put some tangerines in here.
It's hard to see, but the last one got a rose. :) cute, huh?
The idea of making candles is from this blog from Kanin-mum san(http://villa-v.blogspot.com/) Her blog's so lovely, so check it out!

peko peko! [i'm starved]

Herbs- are incredible ingredients that make food tastier.I love 'em so much. My favorite food is Persian because it's got plenty of herbs. Mino, my boyfriend's mom, makes wonderful Persian food! Whenever I eat, I wish I had another stomach so that I can store the food.

This pic here is Charok's & my favorite dish. But I forgot what it's called... One day I'll learn how to make this! (and the name too) :)

This is "Tadig" which is the crispy rice made at the bottom of pan. It's darn good. For this, I know how to make it! he he :p Anyway, thanks to Charok's parents who always cook amazing Persian food for us.

Last night, I was watching "Iron Chef" for hours and hours, though I didn't want to, because I was so lazy that didn't want to move in front of TV and didn't even want to change the channel.
Then, I had this passion from inside of me saying that "gosh I wanna cook too!", so I sure cooked all day long today. (and eat of course) First of all, I made our lunch: tarako pasta (spaghetti with Japanese cod roe), Salad with citrus BBQ dressing. Pasta was incredible because of the minced garlic and olives I added to the source and capers at last.
For the dinner, I made Japanese Tsumire Nabe, which is like stew boiled in a ceramic pot. Tsumire is meat balls made of chicken. It was my first time to make this, but I didn't struggle at all as I expected.
After awhile we kinda got bored eating this because it was too simple for a glass of wine. Then I started to cook more. I heated up frozen dumplings... it wasn't cooking though.
Then I made this "Mochi-Pizza" which I saw it on TV Japan this morning. he he Mochi is a very sticky rice cake. On that, I put some tomatoes, onions, and cheese. It was alright, but a little too greasy.
It was just lovely to cook all day long without worrying about the things that I had to take care....

明日はペルシャ料理(イラン)に挑戦したいとおもっちょる♥
